About Stephanie Watson

Fitness was part of my life long before it became my career. I spent years training as an athlete across very different disciplines, from endurance racing and completing Ironman Canada to bodybuilding. That experience gave me an early understanding of just how differently we can train our bodies, and sparked much of the curiosity that eventually shaped the way I coach today.
I started my first coaching company in 2015 after completing my personal training certification through the American Council on Exercise. My approach to fitness, however, has always been heavily influenced by psychology. I studied psychology at the University of British Columbia and later specialized further in behavior change through ACE – an education that continues to shape the way I think about consistency, habits and our relationship with fitness.
My curiosity eventually took me deeper into nutrition. I completed both Level 1 and the Master Level 2 program through Precision Nutrition, and continued my education in women’s health, including studying under Dr. Lorna Vanderhaeghe and completing her women’s hormone training. In 2018, I also published a book, bringing together much of what I had learned about nutrition, fitness and behavior change.
On the training side, I’ve continued to learn from specialists in their respective fields, including Bret Contreras’ work in glute training, while also completing my yoga teacher training through Dharma Yoga in New York City. Over the years, my own approach has evolved to place particular emphasis on deep core strength, glute development, mobility, posture and building a body that supports the way you actually live.
My career has also given me the opportunity to work in environments where a traditional fitness routine often doesn’t work. I’ve worked in the Los Angeles film industry and on a Netflix production, and have coached actors, musicians, televisions hosts, women in business and real estate, mothers and other women whose schedules and lives require their training to be adaptable.
Today, I’m based in New York City and work alongside an expanded team that includes an in-house nutritionist, personal trainer, programming specialist and accountability coach. My own work sits largely at the intersection of strategy, mindset, the psychology behind fitness, and thoughtful training and programming – helping women make fitness something that works within their lives rather than something they constantly have to manage.
The weekly meal suggestions and the grocery list that is already prepped for you made it effortless. It actually took tasks away instead of adding them.
